It mauled him and bit off his hands," the doctor said, adding that the injured had been taken to a hospital in serious condition. An ichthyologist from the Institute of Marine Biology in the Far East said the shark attack was most likely related to feeding grounds as anchovies move towards shallower waters to warm themselves, though this usually occurs at the beginning of summer. There is now further information about the fate of the shark."

"I was really surprised to read about the other body surfer,  an 86 year old man who is a WWII veteran who was bitten by a shark his name is Bob Brown.  I try to stay on top of these things but my role differs from Al Brenneka who is my friend  and organized the shark attack survivors files extensively. He is the one who puts together a plethora  of information."

"Getting back to Mr. Brown I found it superneat, he was so  refreshing about his shark hit and was in such good spirits after his incident last month at Mickler's.  If anyone knows how he is doing please post I would love to have a chat with him as we have so many things in common...A1A, Navy, sharks and body surfing. I sure hope I am in as good a shape and hold as much charisma as Mr. Brown - he rocked!."

"Al Brennaka stopped by on his way back to North Carolina.  Al lost his arm to a lemon shark while surfing in Delray Beach on Thanksgiving Day.  He was 17 at the time, he and Rodney Fox's bites were the first to be televised.  Al has put together a shark survivors and statistics sight called Shark Attack Survivors.com."

"We have spoken together for the last few years about the ways in which we could help others who have met similar fates around the globe.  Shark attack survivors who help in their respective communities are abundant. It is such a surreal fate that it remains with you always. I think of the Egyptian and Red-Sea shark attack survivors and the 2 who were lost a month ago who were divers from Russia.  Two were women like me.....I would very much like to meet with them.
